Agrarian history is defined as that part of rural history which is directly linked to various agrarian activities. This includes not only the history of agriculture, but also people’s history in the countryside, horticulture history, livestock history etc. The research is multidisciplinary and therefore uses a variety of methods to answer research questions. The methods include the interpretation of written sources, historical maps, illustrations etc. The methodology further analyzing the landscape through the botanical inventory, collection and use of paleoecological materials and traces of historical land use.
